Note to self:

It doesn’t matter if you are really, really, really tired of the winter break. 

You can get the kid up, get her fed, and get her dressed. 

You can even make a really big deal about ‘The first day back at school after break!’

You can do all these things, but next year, check the school calendar.  All of that effort is wasted if there are no teachers at the school.
